Royal Selangor celebrates cherished occasions with Amoroso, a collection featuring the Lover's Knot, an elegant metaphor for the union of two people.
The design which features a decorative motif, making it suitable for weddings is inspired by using two inter-winning tied overhand knots, the Lover's Knot is also known as the Middleman's Knot, Fisherman's Knot or the Shamrock Knot. The ribbed pattern is derived from grosgrain (pronounced grow grain), a ribbon typically used as a trim in formalwear.
This simple knot, resembling interlinked hearts, with its connotations of steadfastness, harmony and eternity, decorates the eight-piece Amoroso collection. Grosgrain, a traditional embellishment in formalwear, lends its signature corded weave as a contrasting trim.
